Georgia Early Learning Standards
Complimentary Image

The Georgia Early Learning Standards (GELS) are a resource designed to assist families and providers in understanding typical development for children from birth through age three. The standards are designed to reflect children's individual rates of development, their different approaches to learning, and the cultural context in which they live.

The GELS represent the beginning of the continuum of developmental standards including Georgia's Pre-K Content Standards for four-year-olds and the Department of Education's Georgia Performance Standards for K-12.
