Head Start Family Literacy Project: (HSFLP) provides training and technical assistance to Head Start and Early Head Start grantees so that their capacity to implement and refine family literacy services is enhanced

Head Start Fellows Program: funds early childhood and/or family service professionals to spend a year combining educational opportunities and exploring national early childhood issues as full-time special assistants to senior HSB staff.

Head Start Higher Education Grantee Partnerships: (HEG) are grants awarded to accredited Colleges and Universities to assist Head Start, Migrant and Seasonal, American Indian and Alaska Native Head Start and Early Head Start staff secure college degrees.

Care for Their Air: Region IV Asthma Resource Toolkit for Head Start and Child Care Learning Settings: In January 2007, in an effort to reduce asthma impacts, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services entered into a formal partnership to conduct outreach and deliver information to reduce health risks related to secondhand smoke and other environmental asthma triggers on young children and their families.
