Child Care Resource & Referral System

For years, Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning has been privileged to support the work of the child care resource and referral (CCR&R) agencies in Georgia. The CCR&Rs provide an invaluable network of support for parents and early care and education professionals at the local level. They support the Bright from the Start vision of increasing the number of Georgia's children and families who have access to quality early care and education programs.

CCR&Rs support quality early learning by supporting child care programs that are working towards a Quality Rated star rating. Child care programs who achieve a Quality Rated star rating have been evaluated by credentialed early childhood experts and identified as high-quality through a one, two, or three star rating system. Through targeted coaching, training, and technical assistance, CCR&R's help programs achieve their star rating by providing higher quality child care environments and better child/teacher interactions.

CCR&Rs are a core component of the Quality Rated system. Their services are available to programs that are working to achieve a Quality Rated star rating. CCR&R agencies cover every county in the state to effectively support each and every child care program.
